Essential Oils for Anxiety (& So Many Other Emotions)
Out of the five senses, smell directly impacts your mood, emotions, memories, and physiology the most. Why? When you inhale essential oils, they travel up through the nose to the olfactory nervous system, which is the part of the brain responsible for your sense of smell. From there, it connects to the limbic system, which is in charge of emotions and memory. By inhaling certain essential oils, you will receive the emotional support you need at the time.
Aromatherapy is so powerful. I always welcome essential oils in my tapping sessions for a soothing treatment to uplift your mood. Different oils change your state of mind depending on what you need at the moment. For example:
Lavender reduces feelings of anxiety
Orange motivates and uplifts your spirit
Frankincense reduces mental distraction
Check out the Emotional Aromatherapy Wheel, which I have sitting on my desk and refer to all the time. On the inside of the circle, look up how you're feeling at the moment, and see which family of oils are best to inhale so you can shift your state of mind.
